Annie House
The vacant lot in the Bouldin neighborhood of Austin had never been developed. Two heritage Live Oak trees in the middle of the site presented a challenge and in response, the new house weaves between the trees using a combination of pier and beam and slab foundations to preserve the root system.
The courtyard scheme creates a space centered around the 200 year old live oak and the covered Patio forms a link between this space and the back of the property which contains a board formed water feature and a Studio space, designed to house a multitude of uses, from home office to exercise room.
